The Code Connection Motto:
"Tell your code story."

Translation:
If you are a code official (a codemaker), your mission here at the Code Connection is to help code users to "tell their story". Public servants can serve well by modeling the Scout Law and be "....trustworhty, loyal, helpful, frinedly, courteous, kind, thrifty, brave, clean and reverant."
If you are a design professional (a codeplayer), devote 4 square feet instead of 4 square inches to telling your "code story". Provide one whole sheet of your contract documents showing a "life safety plan" and a set of code notes that describe the essential life safety elements of your building. Your audience is the building official, the plans examiner, the contractor and of course the owner. By properly developing and organizing your "code story" your can dramatically increase understanding and your credibility with your audience.
If you are new or occasional user of codes (a codeplayer), learn how to "tell your code story" by doing your homework. Knowledge is power. Work with code experts and design professionals who can help you. That's what this site is all about.
